Some really important things to know about our Light Beef
Light Beef is a younger meat
Hammiton Farm Light Beef is from much younger animals than standard beef. This means that the muscles have had less time to develop and our cows have not been subject to the fat development “finishing” process. We are making this choice to minimize the environmental impact of our meat.

Light Beef is a seasonal meat
Hammiton Farm Light Beef is only available for delivery on specific dates in November and December.
The exact delivery date will be confirmed in September. You do not get to choose your delivery date.

Light Beef is a lean meat
Hammiton Farm Light Beef has a lower fat content than standard beef. We recommend that you cook it as you would rose veal.
